I'm honestly not sure how Layla can deliver perfection every single time she writes about a Bennett family member, but dang she does! Second chance love stories are one of my favorites and Daniel and Caroline are so perfect. I love the fact that their story (along with all the others) have very little drama and so much love, affection, swoon-worthy moments, laughter and family. It just makes them so easy to sit down and read. The perfect addition to a wonderful series!!!!
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review of this book.
One True Love is Daniel and Caroline’s story, and it’s a beautiful second chance love story.
For anyone new to this author, who has found this particular book, while it definitely can be read as a stand alone it is part of a larger series of books that follow the nine Bennett siblings. Nine. Three sisters, six brothers, including two sets of twins. This is the eighth in the series focused on Daniel Bennett who is Blake Bennett’s twin. For all of us who’ve read the previous books, we get some updates about the other characters we’ve come to know and love in this book, as well as some time with the one remaining unmarried Bennett, Summer.
I have to admit I wondered how Hagen would manage to sustain the series. Authors writing books about a set of children often stop around five or six, and so this is at least a third longer. I wondered how Hagen would make the plot different and special, but once again she has more than succeeded. This is a tender and hot, thoughtful and sexy, romance.
Daniel and Caroline dated when they were younger, but the broke up. We soon learn, however, that both of them have strong feelings for the other. Feelings that come to the surface when they reconnected some years later. It’s a moving plot in which both of the characters have to deal with things that have shaped their lives since they broke up with each other, sharing them and learning to cope with the consequences as they grow steadily closer.
Like many romances, it has a happy ever after (HEA), but the way that that plays out really made me smile. The way that the characters go about their HEA made me smile and laugh. Although Hagen doesn’t give us too much detail, I couldn’t help thinking that the rest of the Bennett’s might be disappointed, especially perhaps the sisters. It was fun to have that moment in my mind.
Hagen’s books are lovely to read and this is no exception.
A terrific second chance romance
I have loved all the books in the Bennett Family series and Your One True Love is no exception. I love a great second chance romance and Layla Hagen gives us that with Daniel and Caroline's story. They have been broke up for ten years, but have never truly moved on. They belong together! I highly recommend all of these books because the Bennetts are a close knit family and they appear in all the books, but you can read this as a standalone. I don't know why you'd want to though, lol. I can't wait to read Summer's story, since she's the last available Bennett sibling.
Your One True Love
OMG!! Each book I read in the Bennett Family series gets better and better. I so love Caroline and Daniel. They never really stopped loving each other after there breakup. I love the advice Mrs. Bennett gave them. What a smart and loving lady. We need more of her. This is absolutely one of my favorite book series!!!
Second chance at love
3.75 stars. I received an Arc for an honest review of this book. Daniel and Caroline were college sweethearts, but parted ways to live out their dreams of further education. Ten years later his sisters who are friends with Caroline scheme to get them back together. They eventually admit to themselves and each other that they still care about each other. This was a good plot, but for me became a bit too long and the sex parts were so overly done like sex maniacs. The other drama was just fill in without a lot of development to it. I did like the interchange with the other family members that the author uses in this series. Daniel & Caroline get their HEA in Vegas. I have enjoyed many of the books in this series, but this one fell a bit short for me. It’s a good read, but not my top five in series.

This series is a serious one-clicker for me. No doubt about it. Even though this is the 8th book in the series every single book can be read as a stand-alone, but I adore this family and will re-read every book just because I can and need to. These siblings are strong, giving, loving, and funny. They care about each other and are VERY demonstrative. They are all just perfect.
Daniel and Caroline were together many years ago. They were in love, and it fell apart. Pretty much Daniel's fault, so it was easy to want to kick him a few times, but he had a second chance. Can this get screwed up?
Caroline has always been close with this entire family, ever since she, Blake, Daniel were freshmen in college. Once the break up occurred, it was hard to stay in touch, but gradually the friendship came back around. They both are harboring undeniable feelings for one another, but was not sure what would happen while I was reading this. You'll have to read it to find out. :).
Flawless writing. Gets me every time. I love this author and so grateful that I get to review her books early. I voluntarily reviewed this book gifted to me by the author. I give this series 4.5-5 stars Everytime because our truly is a magnificent sweet of books. I hope you like them as much as I do.
Despite being apart, they still found themselves to be in each others lives, that’s what being each other’s true love means. I love the Bennett’s. I love how each of the major characters get integrated in every book Ms. Layla creates. It made me startvreading it all over afain from book 1 to the current book that I am reviewing right now. Daniel and Caroline are the examples of what each other’s true love really mean. It took them a decade but they still found themselves back in each other’s arms and lives. And what’s funny is that the whole family was just watching and waiting for it to happen eventually. Yeah, they did a lottle nudge here and there and a little set up here and there. They knew thise two were meant for each other but they’re just very stubborn. I can’t wait for the next book although I know it will be the last for the Bennet series, which saddens me. Well, I can always read the series again and again. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ As always Ms. Layla! Great book!
What can I say, Layla keeps making me fall more in love with the Bennett family. Thank you for letting me read it before it is release. I am completely in love with her books, I get excited like a kid in Christmas. Daniel is the one of the Bennett’s that is not involve in the family business, I love his protective side and I’m so happy he finally got his act together. I wanted to continue Caroline and Daniel’s story but I am even more excited to continue with this family’s journey to finding love. Thank you Layla and keep bringing us more can’t wait for Summer’s journey. If you haven’t done so please read this series. You won’t regret it.
Love, love, love!!!
*** ARC in exchange for an honest review*** Sigh, the Bennett series is one of my favorite series to read. I'm so sad to see it almost coming to an end (with hints of continuing it with cousins). Daniel and Caroline's previous relationship was hinted at in the beginning of the series, but this book well surpassed my expectations. If you're looking for a great love story, this is it! I highly recommend this book and the entire series!
